Hiyori's Niigata Life

 I went shopping with my friend on Tuesday. I haven't been able to go grocery shopping recentry due to bad weather, so I dicided to go. I was happy to see my friends after a week. Also, it was fun to talk a lot.   I bought Misudo's new dounut that I wanted to eat for long time. I had a gateau chocolat dounut with pistachio cream and churros covered with chocolate. It was very delicious.   I was happy to talk a lot and eat delicious food. Also, now that I've finished all my assignments, I'm looking foward to spring vacation.  Thank you for reading!

 The weather has been bad this week, and the school  has become an online class. So, I spent the whole day at home. Every day was boring because I had nothing to do. However, I had a lot of time, so I was able to proceed with the assignment. I had some reports to submit, but I was able to finish most of them. This gave me a sense of accomplishment and happiness. Also, it was nice to able to watch a lot of videos of my favorite artists and listen to their songs. Music is essential when doing my assignment.  It's still snowing as I write this, but I hope it doesn't snow too much.  I didn't have time to take pictures this week, so I will upload picture of beautiful sky on a very sunny day.  Origami is a game unique to Japan. Origami is said to have originated in the Heian period, and the modern form of origami began around the Edo period. Origami is very interesting because you can make anythings from a single sheet of paper. Also, origami can be done not only by using special paper, but also by cutting unnecessary paper into squares. And, people of all ages can enjoy it, from children to the elderly.  However, some people say that origami is not good because it is difficult to fold. So, From now on, I will introduce an easy and interesting folding method.   I love origami since I was little girl. When I was in elementary school, there was a teacher who was very good at origami, and she taught me many ways to fold. After that, I fell in love with origami. I enjoyed folding various things. I would like to introduce how to make a crane known as this when speaking of origami. My cousin taught me how to make this crane. It's one of my favorite folds. ...

  I ate ice cream with my friend this week. I haven't eaten ice cream lately, so it was delicious. I like ice cream in summer, but I like ice cream in winter even more. Especially in winter, I want to eat Yukimi Daifuku. What is your favorite ice cream?  Also, this week at the school cafeteria, chiffon cake was on sale, so I ate it. The chiffon cake with cream looked so delicious so, I bought it. I love cream, so it was delicious.   And I got a present from my friends. I got it as a bnirthday present, but my birthday is not in January lol. But, I was happy to receive a wonderful present because every time I receive a present, it makes me happy.  After winter vacation, classes started again. The weather has been good for the past few days and I feel very good. I like sunny days in winter because the air is clear. When I looked at the sky this morning, the moon was out in the blue sky. The moon in the daytime was also beautiful.  I had a day off this week, so I watched a lot of dramas. Every drama was interesting. But, as the test is approaching, I would like to concentrate on my studies.  Thank you for reading!

 I went back to my parent's house for winter vacation. In winter vacation, the whole family played Switch Sports. It was a lot of fun. I especially enjoyed playing golf. But, I was so engrossed in playing that I got sore muscle lol.   On New Year's Eve, I ate Toshikoshi soba made by my grandmother. At my house, we eat soba made by my grandmother every year. I love this soba. It was delicious this year! It was nice to see my cousin after a long time.   The winter vacation wasn't very long, but we went shopping and ate a lot of delicious food and had a great time.  I want 2023 to be a good year, too. And, I want to do my best for another month and welcome spring vacation early.  the sky of my hometown Thank you for reading.

 I had a Christmas party with my friends on the 24th. I ate a lot of delicious things such as cake and chicken. The weather was bad, so it was difficult to go shopping. But, I was happy because I was able to eat a lot ofdelicious food because I worked hard. It was my dream to eat cake at the hall, so I was happy that dream came true. We took a lot of pictures, talked a lot, laughed a lot, and had the best Christmas ever. It was a party that had been planned for a long time, so I'm glad I was able to do it.  It snowed a lot this week. The real winter has finally arrived. The snow that had been falling for a long time piled up and the scenery suuddenly become pure white. It snowed so much on Monday that I couldn't go to school. I had my first online class on Tuesday. I heard that it doesn't snow much in Niigata City, so I was suprised, but it seems that it was a record-breaking amount of snow. I like to see it snowing, but I don't want it to fall too much because it interferes with my daily life. But, With so much snow piled up, I wanted to play in the snow.  Also, I spent a lot of time at home this week, so I called my family and friends a lot. I'm very happy because I can talk on the phone even if I'm away.  Thank you for reading. 

 I wathed a lot of dramas and movies this week. I often watch Korean dramas. This week, I watched a drama called "Suspicious Partner". Many friends recomended it, so I finally tried it. As I watched it, it became more and more interesting. So, there were about 30 episodes, but I watched it all at once in a few days. There are some suspenseful scenes, but it was an exciting and very interesting drama.  I also watched many other dramas and movies. The movie called "You in the 20th Century was a sad story, but it was a very good movie. I highly recommened this movie, so if you haven't seen it, please check it out.  My artifact is pencil case. The length is about 20 cm and the color is navy. The fabric is leather fabric. It has my name on the bottom right.It is sewn with white thread. The pencil case contains 9 pens, a rular and an eraser. This is compact and slim, not big enough to hold a lot. It has no scratches or stains. It's hard to see, but if you look closely you can see the lines written in red. This pencil case looks like a thin seaweed roll.                                  This is a story that before I entered high school. I have been learning calligraphy since I was in elementary school. But, after entering junior high school, an acquaintance started a calligraphy class, so I started going there. The calligraphy teacher was very kind and gave me easy to understand and accurate advice. Also, she listened to my story and gave me advice on my worries.  It snowed for the first time this year on Friday. The first winter in Niigata since moving here has arrived. It is said that Niigata dets a lot of snow, but I was surprised that the wind was stronger than the snow. It seems to be blown away every day lol. I once broken an umbrella. The first snow fell, so I was a little excited. But, I don't like the cold, so I like watching snow inside the house lol. I want to do my best without losing to the cold of this winter. A bakery opened near my house recently. I love bread, so I went to buy some bread. The shop wasn't that big, but it was a very happy space with lots of bread lined up inside. I bought sausage bread and Kouign Amann. Both bread were delicious. I want to eat other bread, so I would like to go to that bakery again. Thank you for reading!

 I went shopping with my friends this week. We ate rice as soon as arrived. We couldn't decide what to eat there were so many restaurants, but we decided to eat Korean food. There were a lot of menus here, and we wanted to eat them all. So, Iwe ordered a lot of and shared them with everyone. We ordered gimbap, jajangmyeon, bibimbap and chicken(but not in the photo). I ate jajangmyeon for the first time. I wanted to eat it for a long time, so I was happy to eat it. Every dish was delicious and filled my stomach.   After that, I went to many shops and bought some clothes. I think it will be cold from now on, so I was happy to buy a muffler. I bought a very cute muffler.   And, I drank tapioca milk tea for the first time in a while. It was so delicious.  Thank you for reading!

 I went out with my high school friends this weekend. First, we went to Starbucks. Then, we ate a strawberry moca and a strawberry milk crepe cake. The cake was very sweet with strawberry cream and the dough was sticky. It was so delicious. Also,  the drink was slightly bitter and went well with the sweet cake. Starbucks seems to have a new drink. This time it seems to be a butter caramel and millefeuille drink. The new drink looks delicious, so I want to drink it.    After that we enjoyed shopping. I bought a coat. I was very happy because I wanted it for long time. It is going to be a must- have for this winter.   After shopping, we ate dinner. I ate cream pasta and my friend ate a humburger steak. The cream pasta was very delicious and made for a good dinner.   It was a very fun day because I met my high school friend after a long time.  November 11th is said to be Pocky day, so I ate Pocky with my friends. (One of my friends ate Toppo lol.) I had strawberry flavored Pocky. It was even better when I ate with friends. Besides, we talked a lot and laughed a lot. It was a really fun time.  On Saturday, I went shopping at Bandai with my friends. We were all hungry, so we ate lunch as soon as we arrived. I ate a rice ball set meal at a rice ball shop called sankakutomaru. Some of the side dishes and the soup were very good tastes. We can choose our favorite rice ball. If you have a chance, please go there. I recommend that restaurant for lunch.  After that, we enjoyed shopping around various shops. Then, we drank a chocolate drink as a snack.  This week, I ate a McDonald's sankaku chocopai. I ate black one. It was very delicious!  I ate it after my part-time job was over. I was tired from my part-time job, so it tasted even better. I want to eat the other white one, too. Has anyone tried sankaku chocopai? Next, I saw total lunar eclipse. It is said that this astronomical show was the first in 442 years. It phenomenon was rare, so I went outside to see it. When I took a picture, it looks like a grain of rice, but when I actually saw it, it looked reddish and very beautiful. The weather was good, so I was happy to see it properly.  Also, I found pretty flowers. Beautiful purple pansies were blooming in the flower bed. I feel a little happy when I see pretty flowers.     Thank you for reading!

 I went to the school festival on Sunday and saw the dance stage. My friend's dance was very cool and the best performance. I enjoyed seeing dance and listening big sound of music. After that, I ate bread with my friend. When I went to the bakary to buy some, all the bread looked delicious, so we bought a lot. I love bread, so I was happy to eat a lot of delicious bread. Look at the following photo. This is a photo of bread that we ate. We had pumpkin croissants, pumpkin muffins and sandwiches. I bought the pumpkin croissant because it was a color I had never seen before. The croissants and muffins were very delicious with plenty of pumpkin cream inside. The sandwiches had variety of flavors and all delicious. I want to eat it again. I bought it at saffron, a bakery near our university, so if you have the chance, please try it!  Apples was sent from my parent's house on Tuesday of this week. Last week, I told my mom that I wanted to eat apples. Then, my mom sent me apples this week. Also, my mom sent me not only apples, but also pears and sweets. When I opented the box, I was happy to find many apples and delicious food inside. And I was surprised that the pear was more than twice as big as I imagined. I have never seen such a big pear before. Also, I've been into cereal these days, and my mom sent me chocolate cereal too. It is very delicious to eat chocolate cereal with milk. I am very grateful to my family for sending me many things that I like.  Next, when I was on the train, I saw a beautiful view from the window. It was very sunny this Wednesday. The weather was bad on Monday and Tuesday at begining of the week. But, Wednesday was fine and I felt good. I love sunny days because blue skies brighten my mood. It was the blue sky we hadn't seen in a long time, so I took a picture with my friend. I was able to take a very beautiful photo. The weather is often bad these days, but I hope that the sunny days will continue. The other day, I found a cute flower on my way home from my part-time job. Small and colorful flowers were blooming. It was very beautiful with many colors of red, white, yellow, orange and pink flowers blooming in the same place. However, the stem was very long and it was a mysterious flower that I had never seen before. I tried to find out what the name of flower was, but I couldn't find it. I love my hometown because Fukushima is a comfortable place to live. I learned calligraphy from when I was in elementary school until I graduated from high school.
